Bengaluru was recently ranked the most traffic congested city in the world. The share of private vehicles in the city surged by a massive 280% between 2007-2020, amounting to 8 million vehicles. The public transport infrastructure, which takes up a low 48% usage, is woefully inadequate to cater to increasing demand in the city. This panel brings together experts from the field to examine opportunities for kick-starting a more efficient bus system in Bengaluru and how public perception and usage of buses can be promoted.
